Flautist Hans-Peter Frehner received his concert diploma in 1982 and has been awarded a number of prizes in the years 1980–83. He has played concerts as soloist and in various formations in Europe, Canada, and the US, and made a variety of radio recordings and records. He is a founding member and the musical director of the zurich new music ensemble.
