Vanessa Billy explores the cyclical and notions of a mutable nature. Her sculptural works bring together a variety of forms and materials, generally making allusions to a transformative moment or action with the effect of anchoring the work to its surroundings. She was born in 1978, studied in London and now lives between London and Zurich.

Recent solo shows include Kunsthaus Baselland, Basel, and Christina Wilson, Copenhagen (both 2011); Limoncello, London (2010); The Photographer's Gallery, London (2009), plus international group shows.
